His unusual nextdoor neighbour, Steve, had spent the previous nine years building an ocean-going yacht in his back garden. The whole street watched in amazement as the 44ft steel vessel was crane-lifted over the rooftops and driven away to a London docks on a lorry. When it finally got into the water, Steve took his family on the adventure of a lifetime, setting sail for New Zealand, some 24,000 kilometres away, where they would start a new life. ‘Kiwi Breeze’ tells the inspirational story of one man’s determination to achieve his dream.
